Our History
By 1962, S. Himmat Singh, affectionately referred to as ‘Baba Ji,’ started a tiny shop on the roadside. He got his inspiration for the meals from the authentic flavors of Punjab. Mr. Kanwaljit Singh and his wife inherited the business after him and expanded the menu by adding items such as fish fried and spinach corn rolls, which also became very popular. Due to the higher volume and popularity, they were able to establish the first official Baba’s Restaurant (Model Town) in 1991. Their secret blend of spices was the main thing that made Baba’s butter chicken popular everywhere on the planet.
